From the initial patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning will be discussed using 2D as well as 3D diagnostic tools. Dr Christensen will examine some of the digital tools available in orthodontics and highlight pros and cons of some of these tools.
Improvements in bracket placement for more precise treatment will be illustrated with several indirect bonding techniques.
Topics such as custom-made appliances, hybrid appliances, tooth and bone borne expanders and distalisers will be covered in the afternoon session. This will include early treatment and a debate on evidence for the necessity of interceptive treatment illustrated with case examples.
Finally finishing techniques and individualised retention protocols will be illustrated in detail with emphasis on case specific retention.
The course will be illustrated with both adult and adolescent case material.
