Tiivistelmä
Hammashoidon yksiköillä on velvollisuus suunnitelmalliseen infektioiden torjuntaan, ja jokaisella terveydenhuollon työntekijällä on ammattieettinen velvollisuus hoitaa potilaitaan näyttöön perustuvien ja parhaiden käytäntöjen mukaan. Toimivilla hygieniakäytännöillä on merkittävä rooli, jotta suun terveydenhuollon potilas- ja työturvallisuus toteutuu.
Katsauksen tarkoituksena on muodostaa kokonaiskuva hammashoidon työntekijöiden aseptiseen toimintaan vaikuttavista tekijöistä ja keinoista, joilla toimintaan voidaan vaikuttaa. Tavoitteena on tuottaa tietoa, jota voidaan hyödyntää suun terveydenhuollon työntekijöiltä edellytettyjen hygieniakäytäntöjen toteuttamisen ja kehittämisen tukena.
Kirjallisuuskatsauksen teema-analyysin pohjalta aseptinen toiminta on yhdistelmä tietotaitoa, aseptista omaatuntoa, resursseista riippuvaista ja olosuhteiden muovaamaa käytöstä.
Katsauksen kohderyhmä ovat hammashoidon työntekijät, mutta tuloksia voidaan hyödyntää laajemminkin terveydenhuollossa. Infektioiden torjunta koskettaa kaikkia terveydenhuollossa työskenteleviä, ja tuloksista ilmenee, että aseptisen toiminnan teemat kietoutuvat koko organisaation toimintaan, aina hallinnon linjauksista yksittäisen työntekijän arvomaailmaan.
Abstract
Oral healthcare has developed and reformed along with the rest of society. Digitization, increasing customer numbers and high costs affect the operation of receptions and the work of professionals in many ways. Dental care units have an obligation to perform planned infection control practices and every healthcare worker has a professional ethical obligation to treat their patients according to evidence-based and best practices. Appropriate hygiene practices play a significant role in guaranteeing patient and occupational safety in an oral healthcare environment. The purpose of this review was to form an overall picture of the factors affecting the aseptic performance of dental care workers and the means by which the performance can be influenced. The goal was to produce information that can be used to support the implementation and development of the hygiene practices required of oral healthcare workers.
Based on a thematic analysis of the literature review, aseptic operation appears as a combination of know-how and aseptic conscience, as well as resource-dependent and situation-shaped behavior. In this review, the target group was dental care workers, but the results can be used in a broader healthcare context. Infection control affects everyone who works in healthcare, and the results show that the themes of aseptic operation are woven into the activities of the entire organization, from the policies made by the administration to the value system of the individual employee.
